Workshop Description:

The best way to learn how to weave is to watch someone do it. Drawing from my experience as a fiber artist over the past 3 years, I have created an engaging workshop for beginners that will teach you the basics of weaving your own tapestry from start to finish. We'll explore some basic mechanics while allowing room for you to explore your own individual style. Weaving techniques we will cover will include: the tabby stitch, variations of complex tabby stitches, soumak stitch, layout of shapes, and my secret, most versatile way of pulling your weaving off the loom. No prior knowledge or skills necessary!
